Vince Moore has been riding track bikes in NYC for over a quarter of a century. He's raced on his track bikes, worked as a messenger, and ridden the epic Bear Mountain rides. When you see him gliding down the street, your eye delights in the seasoned moves of an experienced track rider. The silky-smooth cadence, the relaxed, motionless upper body as he threads his way through the flow of cars, cabs and busses. And the trackstanding during NYC's immense Critical Mass rides. Vince is also a skilled photographer. He loves everything about track bikes, and was an inspiration getting this site off the ground by shooting hundreds of photos. He once said he wanted a pic of every track bike in the city. That's a non-stop job, as they grow more popular every year. See Vince's article on his riding, called "Just Me and My Bike." At the moment, Vince's track bikes are:
1970's Pinarello
1980's Bianchi
1990's Cannondale |
